Initialement commit \u00e0 Tennessee, il quitte Knoxville apr\u00e8s deux saisons moyennes (o\u00f9 il cumule 258 courses pour 1311 yards et 8 TDs) pour rejoindre Norman et les Sooners d&rsquo;Oklahoma. Il y joue tous les matchs d\u00e8s sa premi\u00e8re saison mais n&rsquo;est que tr\u00e8s peu utilis\u00e9 (career lows en runs, yards et TDs), il d\u00e9cide tout de m\u00eame de rester malgr\u00e9 le d\u00e9part de Lincoln Riley \u00e0 USC, et profite du d\u00e9part en NFL de Kennedy Brooks pour prendre une toute autre dimension, et 213 courses plus tard, il accumule 1366 yards et 11 TDs. En BigXII, seuls les 3 RBs stars que sont Bijan Robinson (Texas), Deuce Vaughn (Kansas State) et Kendre Miller (TCU) prendront plus de yards que lui, mais il est celui qui aura le meilleure average (6.4 yards\/run).<\/p>\n<p>Eric Gray est un RB athl\u00e9tique dans les petits espaces, il est plein de vivacit\u00e9, d&rsquo;agilit\u00e9 et d&rsquo;explosivit\u00e9, mais manque cruellement de vitesse pure. Typiquement le joueur que l&rsquo;on qualifie de \u00ab\u00a0quicker than fast\u00a0\u00bb. Il n&rsquo;a d&rsquo;ailleurs pas couru le 40-yards au NFL Combine, mais il devrait le faire dans un environnement plus familier au Pro Day d&rsquo;Oklahoma le 30 Mars. M\u00eame s&rsquo;il est un coureur avec un gabarit relativement compact (1.76m pour 95kg, et donc par comparaison plus lourd que des RBs de cette classe qui font la m\u00eame taille que lui comme Jahmyr Gibbs ou Devon Achane), il a aussi beaucoup de mal au contact, o\u00f9 son manque de puissance s&rsquo;y fait ressentir et il est extr\u00eamement rare qu&rsquo;il passe le premier plaquage.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 tout, sa grande force r\u00e9side dans ses <i>cuts<\/i> et autres <i>spin moves<\/i>&#8230; ils sont d\u00e9vastateurs et tr\u00e8s souvent plac\u00e9s au bon moment. Il poss\u00e8de aussi une bonne vision derri\u00e8re sa OL et dans l&rsquo;open field.&nbsp;<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: 1rem;\">Enfin, il peut apporter une vraie plus-value en tant que receveur (99 r\u00e9ceptions pour 827 yards et 5 TDs en carri\u00e8re). Il poss\u00e8de de bonnes mains, court bien les trac\u00e9s et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son explosivit\u00e9, on pourrait entrevoir certains jeux dessin\u00e9s rien que pour lui.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gray est un RB explosif avec des qualit\u00e9s \u00e0 la r\u00e9ception int\u00e9ressantes, mais il sera tr\u00e8s compliqu\u00e9 pour lui de transposer son jeu en NFL et d&rsquo;avoir un gros rendement. On peut entrevoir une utilisation partielle contre certaines \u00e9quipes mais il restera un RB de compl\u00e9ment et limit\u00e9.
